Department of Computer Science
The Department of Computer Science is an organizational unit of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Aviation of the Rzeszów University of Technology. The activities of the Department of Computer Science include conducting laboratories, exercises and lectures in the field of information technology, programming, business analytics, IT project management, business process modeling, multidimensional data analysis, artificial intelligence and many other IT fields.
The IT department includes qualified teachers and researchers who combine their knowledge acquired during the implementation of many international research projects with experience gained in business. The combination of these qualifications allows us to offer students and business representatives a wide range of competences.

- Data analysis using data mining methods and techniques and artificial intelligence.
- The use of computer simulation techniques in modeling and reengineering of business processes.
- Using the CASE environment to model the organization and generating source code based on the created visual models.
- Design and creation of decision support systems.
- Tribological tests aimed at determining the impact of the geometric structure of multi-process surfaces (SGP) on friction, with the aim of capturing changes that occur in this type of SGP during the operation of the friction node.
- Description of the geometric structure of multi-process surfaces enabling the isolation and determination of selected parameters important from the tribological point of view, as well as enabling monitoring of the manufacturing process and modeling of the wear process of this type of surfaces.
